The company renesas prepares the new 32- bit one chip system (SoC) with integrated 2d- video adapter and collection of  PC- periphery - SH7764. Device will be oriented to the use in digital mediaplyer, net printers, electronic and so on. Special version with the extended working temperature range (from - 40 °c to +85 °c) will be used, in particular, in the automobile navigation systems. SH7764 will operate at frequency of 324 MHz, ensuring performance to 583 MIPS (millions instructions per second) that, on the statement of producer, makes possible to work for systems on basis of this processor under control OS Windows CE or Linux. New processor is based on the super-scalar processor renesas SH-4A, which made a debut during August 2004 and intended for processing multimedia information in the systems without digital signal processors (DSP). SH-4A includes according to 32 KB cache for instructions and data, 16 KB built-in operational memory and 32/64- bit interface for external SDRAM (108 MHz). It is reported that SH7764 contains the wide collection of controllers and interfaces: 2d- video adapter, interface for connection to lcd- screen Ethernet- controller USB- controller ATAPI- controller, controller nAND-flash Sequential interface with FIFO 32- bit timer DMA- controller Sequential sound interface (SSI) I 2c- interface Working models SH7764 (R5S77640N300BG) will begin to be supplied during April, on the price of 25 dollars.
