In the course of exhibition CES 2007 company PNY technologies announced collections of memory module PNY XLR8 2GB, each with volume of 2 Gb. Two models enter into a series: XLR8 gold and XLR8 blue.
The first of the new product is interesting fact that because of the specially developed pcb board all chips memory are located on one side. This made possible to place on the second side module massive radiator, effectively abducting heat-.

A similar design of radiator is used also in PNY XLR8 blue; however, last is completely traditional modules with the bilateral arrangement of chips.

Producer plans to release both models in three versions:

PC 2-6400, 800 MHz, latency 4- 4- 4-12, stress 2,1 v, recommended price 330 dollars
PC 2-6400, 800 MHz, latency 3- 4- 4-12, stress 2,2 v, recommended price 500 dollars
PC 2-8500, 1066 MHz, latency is 5th it is 5th 5-15, stress 2,2 v, recommended price 430 dollars.
