Cell phones with two screens – during our days is not means rarity. However, such telephones usually, in the first place, cost somewhat more expensive than their one screen fellows, and, in the second place, somewhat thicker. The new technology of company samsung is called to remove these two deficiencies in – the lcd - display of mobile device, capable of reflecting the independent from each other images on both sides.

Until now liquid-crystal displays were capable of reflecting only the inverse image of picture, demonstrated from one side. Besides the obvious decrease of the number in components of mobile device, the technology samsung according to company makes possible to reduce thickness as the minimum by a millimeter. As it is expected, mass production of the new type of displays will begin in first half of 2007.
new type lcd displays are built on the base of two-lock thin-film transistors (TFT) with the application of technology ASG (amorphous silicon gate), which makes possible to increase the quantity of locks TFT- transistors without increase in the sizes of the integrated circuits controller. In this case for the illumination display is required only one luminous source for one side it works in the regime transmission, second – in the regime reflection.
