The first holder of license Cortex-M1, which participated moreover in the development core, became the company actel.

As it is expected, ARM and Actel will demonstrate Cortex-M1 in the course of conference built in systems (Embedded systems conference), which will pass in the san jose in 5 April. Actel plans to allow Cortex-M1 within its products fusion (programmed system chips) and FPGA proASIC3 without the levy of additional license card.
in the press release it was reported that ARM cortex-M1 is 32-bit RISC- processor with three-stage conveyer, which uses a somewhat modified collection of instructions thumb-2. Microprocessor core, as it is asserted, will capably fulfill the code thumb thus it will be compatible with ARM7TDMI and older. On the site of AMD company recently appeared the declaration about the presence of vacancy for engineer- lithographer (possibly, not one). In the number of its basic tasks - creation of detailed requirements for 32- nm and 22- nm production. Engineer will work in the composition of joint research group AMD and IBM at projects in the region of the advanced optical lithograph, EUV- lithograph and alternative lithographic technologies, which will satisfy these requirements.
Let us recall that AMD and IBM work together at the improvement of technological standards, beginning from 2003, and during November 2005 they stated about the prolongation of collaboration up to 2011. Specifically, by this time companies had to master 32- nm and 22- nm technical processes. Let us note also that very recently IBM was considered that immersion lithograph - the unique solution, which is plotted in the two-year-old period of development and requirements, which appear upon transfer to 22 nm. Now we see that the alliance AMD/IBM does not copy EUV from the calculations to the connection with this technical process, but furthermore, it is ready to examine alternative technologies.
