Organization OCP-IP (Open core protocol international partnership), which recently came forward with the new specifications of architectures system-on- chip (SoC), it reports about the starting of one initiative: measurements of performance Of noC (network-on- chip). Within its initiative the organization published the printed work, in which are described the basic functions of medium for the measurement noC performance  . Under this work signed the scientists from university British Columbia, university Carnegie- mellon, royal technological institute, technological university to tempera and the Washington state university. It is expected that the created in OCP-IP working group noC will soon present the pack of applications for the measurement of performance network-on- chip. As a whole, the concept noC uses package approach and multilayer methodology. In the opinion of supporters of concept noC will ensure the higher data transmission speed and will facilitate the repeated use of intellectual property in future designs, than the traditional concepts of system bus with port access. In the published work also are described the requirements and applications functions  , synthetic micro- tests (working with the local part micro-architectures) and abstract applications for the measurement of performance; the methods of evaluation of reliability tests, determination of stability to errors and the adaptability of internal connections integrated circuit to the test applications are proposed. In the work is noted that the classical tests of performance microprocessors are oriented for applications, as a result of what are not the best selection for tests noC.
